FAQs

  • The LeadLab selection process is currently conducted by each Division and attached field in collaboration with the Global Leadership Institute. The selection process is based on the strategy used to continue leader multiplication in each attached field and Division.

  • The LeadLab training is sponsored by the General Conference. There are some costs to each Division and attached fields in order to facilitate the on-location, face-to-face events.

  • 1) The LeadLab Intro program is a short introductory program and takes about 6-8 hours, typically over three to four days.

    2) The LeadLab Growth Series is a full-fledged growth laboratory that integrates four dimensions of leadership growth:
    (a) Leading yourself;
    (b) Leading with others;
    (c) Leading in organizations; and
    (d) Leading multiplication.
    The LeadLab Growth Series takes between 6-8 months to complete. The schedules are tailored to the needs of the sponsoring fields.

  • A professional certificate is issued to active participants who have completed the LeadLab Growth Series and its requirements. In addition, for those who want to go deeper, three graduate academic credits can be arranged by the participating Division or field through the School of Leadership at Andrews University for a nominal fee. These credits are transferrable into master’s or doctoral leadership programs at participating universities. To earn academic credit, participants must be actively involved in all LeadLab sessions, the weekly learning group, and engage in an application project.

  • The ultimate success of a LeadLab can be found in integrating new thinking, practice, and habits into everyday leadership practice.

  • LeadLab graduates are eligible to become trained as LeadLab Associates (LLAs). Depending on the experience and training, LeadLab Associates can serve in various ways—as learning coaches, presenters, facilitators, or developers of locally-sponsored LeadLabs.
